Off Season Strength Program – expressions of Interest

 

With our promotion to 2nd Division confirmed – we’ll need to improve in many areas, one key area is to begin our strength and conditioning.     A tailored program has been developed ( in consultation with Pete – PhysioGYM ) that will only require 2 x sessions per week consisting of 2 phases:

 

Phase 1 :              Strength / Conditioning ( Technique / Foundation)

Phase 2 :              Build ( Load / Strength )

  

The program will include fitness assessment / testing, goal setting, practical workshop / instructions on weight training ( including core Olympic lift movements ).     The program is based on an elite Super 15 team ( albeit a Kiwi team ) that will provide the best gains and prepare you for session 2012.

 We are calling for expressions of interest to commence planning and finalise the cost.   The cost will be scaled based on the number of participants, so the more that sign up – the cheaper it will be.

Weekly, supervised sessions will be held at PhysioGym in Leichardt.  If we can get 35+ players to sign up, it will cost as little as $15.00 per week (fully inclusive) or $120.00 for each 8 week block.

If you are not already involved in a strength and conditioning program then this should be considered a must for anyone serious about being selected in at least the top 2 grades.
