About us
Welcome to the Petersham RUFC est. 1883, Australia's original and oldest "Subbies" rugby club!
Since our club's founding way back in 1883, the men of Petersham Rugby have always been at the heart of grass roots Rugby in Australia.
Participating in the Australia’s first ever junior level Rugby competition and founding members of what is now the NSW Suburban Rugby Union and we have won the Kentwell Cup, Subbies Rugby's biggest prize, on three occasions. And through it all we have held fast to the true spirit of Rugby.
We have welcomed all comers. We have toured the world. We have played for love, not money. We have been the best of mates and the toughest of foes. Come and celebrate your part in this great endeavour, for Petersham is Subbies Rugby and we hold a special place in its history.

Petersham regularly fields five senior teams catering for all standards of player, as well as a netball club for the better halves. We are a famously social lot, providing plenty of off field activities to round out the total rugby experience. Travellers are always welcome, so if you are looking to spend some time living and working in the Harbour City, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Training every Tuesday and Thursday 6.30pm Camperdown Oval, Mallett St, Camperdown.
